It is possible to download on an iPad. We cannot put screenshots of the process here because the options you have when clicking the "open" button on the "My Downloadable Patterns" page may vary, depending on the apps that are installed on your device.
Adobe does have a mobile version of its Acrobat Reader, but it does not include the layers functionality, which is necessary if you want to print one size at a time. Also, printing options are limited when you are printing from a mobile device. If your page one printout (where you measure the test rectangle) is off, there will be very little you can do to change the way the device sends the document to the printer. If you are printing from a tablet or phone, make sure you print the first page only and measure your guides BEFORE printing the entire document.
The best practice when working with PDF patterns is to:
- Save to your hard drive
- Start Adobe Reader
- Open the file and print from Adobe Reader
If you are bringing the file to a copy shop, save the file to a USB key and tell them to open the file works best with Adobe Reader, that it will not work with Corel.
